Free MP3 Music and the Business Debate

It’s tough to tell which side is right, but one thing is for sure, the advent MP3 download technology has changed the face of the music industry and it’s business.
Some argue that free mp3 music helps to level the playing field for all musicians because of its low cost and potential viral effect to the music fan masses. Others argue that although the playing field has leveled on a cost to entry basis, free mp3 music technology has caused the number of players to grow to a point of nullification of the money factor. In the end, it might just come down to the best music and musicians will be the big winners, while the other artists continue on in obscurity.
