At our house every Friday night is Pizza night. I recently found out that I am adopted and I am trying to locate my birth parents.  I found my mother and she explained that she was young and foolish and that my father was in a lot of trouble all of the time and she wanted me to have a better life.  She said that she is not sure where my father is, but he may be in prison.  I did a cook county inmate search and I found him.  I was nervous about meeting him, but I went through with it and at least I know who he is now.

One of the things I love to do most in this world is cooking. I love to try new and exotic recipes. The biggest problem I have with my hobby is finding ethnic foods called for in recipes. This week I needed to buy Italian cheeses to try a new lasagna recipe. I couldn’t find them anywhere locally so I decided to try online. Sure enough I found everything I was looking for and more. I’m so excited as now I won’t have to avoid certain recipes just because I can’t find the ingredients. I am so glad I thought to look online.

Yesterday was my birthday. I spent it going to work, cleaning my house, and cooking my own dinner. I was feeling really sorry for myself when it hit me that things didn’t have to be this way. There are so many ways to find friends in today’s society that a person should never be alone. So I decided to take advantage of one of them and join one of those online Singles Groups. Right away, I hit it off with two girls who liked a lot of the same things as me. It has only been one day, but I already feel like we are going to be great friends. I work at a Flea Market, and one of my favorite parts about the job is getting first crack at all of the new things that come in. I have not received a new Phone book in nearly two years. I was always under the impression that the phone company normally sent new books out to their customers every year. I don’t know of any reason that I would not have gotten one in the past two years because my address has not changed at all. I asked my neighbors if they had received their telephone books and a few of the have and some haven’t. Perhaps due to the poor state of the economy they are making cutbacks and have started sending them out every few years instead.
